.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no particular regulations on who can purchase a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your local language.
