A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be pretty easy if you’ve got a cloud service with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet intuitive Email Manager tool, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your web hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created shown alphabetically and on the right side of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly inform you whether a certain mailbox stores all the email messages pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any time. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click that icon. In the same manner you’ll be able to disable the feature, if you no longer need it. Our system will let you know if you are trying to enable a second catch-all mailbox for a given domain or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate anything automatically and without your consent.
